Gardenias and an antique rocker

We haven't stopped working on the bathroom- I hope to have it finished by this coming weekend. Right now we are redoing the vanity. Anyhow, I haven't updated on this project because all thats left are "after" pictures.

We redid the nursery and moved the antique gooseneck rocker from the nursery into a corner of our bedroom. I am not sure how long it will reside in this spot, but thought it would be a nice time to share a picture of it.

I think all of us in the south are currently basking outdoors- and in- the lovely aroma of the gardenia blossom. I prefer mine floating in crystal bowls and have little such floral displays all over our home right now, including the bedroom.

I had my appointment at the new ob's office yesterday. I am now 25 weeks 5 days with twins. Both babies looked good on the u/s and my weight and blood pressure are good so far. I have an appointment with the high risk peri in two weeks to do a growth scan and to monitor my blood thinners. I then will see the ob again and discuss when to schedule the c-section. One twin is head down, the other is very much transverse. I am not even wanting to try vbac with twins!

My MIL babysat yesterday which went pretty well except they didn't eat! They normally take 6 ounces of bottle for lunch, and then two jars of food. I really work with these guys, I know they get distracted and just toss their bottles. She didn't. They didn't eat even an ounce of their formula, and didn't eat their jar food either! They woke up from their naps half starved and very irritable. Oh well. At least she watched them, eh?

Lizzie, The rocker is beautiful, as are the gardenia blossoms. I'm glad there is someone at hand to watch the twins for you sometimes. But no-one ever tends to our babies quite like we do it ourselve, do they? :)

Hi, Lizzie, those blossoms are so nice. Love gardenia smells! Can't wait to see your redo too.

You asked about more pics of my sister's yard. If you go back to my Mother's Day post in May, you will see a whole bunch of pics I took of my sis's yard when we had Mother's Day lunch outdoors. So, take a peek, they have done a lot of work & have a stream, pond & beautiful backyard...all done themselves.

Thanks for your sweet comments! I do so appreciate them all. As I get older, I surely do like to hear them, LOl!

So glad to be back and visit again with you Lizzie! I love seeing the blossoms in the glass bowl. I float flowers in a large flat glass bowl but never know you could use gardenias too. Your rocker is so pretty. The fabric covering it is really nice.

I am glad to hear all is going well with the twins ~ both sets. Take good care of yourself as you progress and rest enough.

Hi Lizzie- I'm glad your appointment went well too, you must feel very relieved! Make sure you are not dashing about too much (not easy with twins!!)

Lizie, I love that rocker. My husbands grandmother had one just like it. I think I'm slow at figuring this out, but you have twins and are pregnanat with twins?! My dear girl, you are amazing. So glad the apt. went well. I'm so excited for you. MIL's, I know, I know. Bottom line is, it's harder on you when they get off schedule, but nothing major. Your "big" twins are adorable.

I'm just about to go pick a fresh batch of gardenias. I'll be a little sad when the bush finishes blooming. I wish the blooming time was spaced out more :P

Your rocker looks very pretty in your bedroom.

So glad you got a good report at the doctor. For you MIL, I learned over time that as long as my children were safe, the relationship and bonding with other family was more important and the children were always resilient with any temporary routine changes.

Lizzie, I found you over at Lallee's and came over to visit with you....I have twin granddaughters who turned sweet sixteen Tuesday, June 5th..They are such a blessing to us....as well as to many others...

Two sets of twins.....you are blessed. I knew an elderly gentleman who told me his mother had twins and then triples.........

I enjoyed reading your posting and will return...Blessings, Betty at Country Charm
