"Events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves they find their own order the continuous thread of revelation."
~Eudora Welty
It is hard to believe that Lucas and Matilda are now ten months old. They are developing their own personalities, and their own appearances. Lucas is very introspective and likes to see how things work, considering every toy you hand him carefully. Matilda is very affectionate and wants reassurance. She loves to dance and she likes to be the center of attention.

This picture really captures Lucas. He is such a thoughtful little boy!

A rare moment of quiet for Tilly. She was interested in the shrubbery outside the nursery window. Or perhaps shes wondering when we will finish painting the trim!
The rocker they are posing in was my aunts, my mothers, and my sister and I also used it. I had it recovered a few years back in anticipation of my own children using it as well. Three generations of children in my family. I hope the rocker will be used by a fourth generation as well.

Your children are beautiful, and those photos are so sweet! I loved hearing about their personalities, too. They grow up so fast, don't they?
How nice to be able to use a family piece like that rocker, and hand it down through the generations. It is pretty, and I like the fabric you recovered it with.
I hope that you have a great weekend---enjoy those babies!
Sooo sweet!
We had my husband's little rocker that our kids loved rocking in. What precious memories!
Love when you share your babies with us!
they are so adorable..babies are such a gift...
I just love seeing pictures of Matilda and Lucas. I love the way the sun is coming through the blinds and shining on them. You made me recall an old simple rocker that my mother used in then we three daughters rocked our babies in it. It finally became too dangerous to continue (after several repairs). I can close my eyes and remember exactly how it felt and the creaking it made as I rocked back and forth.
Thank you for the family info you shared on my blog. I think of you as showing the others how family relations should be done. My hope is that it brings healing fruit for everyone. I applaud you for what you are doing, Lizzie.
They are so adorable. I wish I could just pick them up out of that chair and hold them. I LOVE babies!
I love the fabric you chose for the rocker.
Your children are so precious! I love the continuity of the rocker being used by generation after generation. How special, and how lucky Lucas and Tilly are to have a Mom that actually thinks about connections and memories and little developing personalities!
They are just gorgeous Lizzie..your very lucky!

Beautiful photos of beautiful children- I love the way you call them your 'twinkies'!!
Aaaawwwww
Honestly, I don't know how moms get anything done. I think I would just stare at, take pictures of, and play with my babies ALL DAY LONG!
They are soooo cute. And I love the paisley rocker. It's family history makes it a true treasure.
Kimberly :)
The babies are soooo adorable. I am curious to see how much time you have also. I just cannot imagine!!!!!! I am also looking forward to see your "little project" you had written about on my blog. Even if you do not implement it until the second set of twins start high school!!!!HeHe!!!And what a great family heirloom that chair is!
Bless them how sweet are they!! Its nice to see furniture handed down isn't it!
hey! couldn't find an email address for you? i'm 36 weeks. and if i don't go on my own i'll be induced two weeks early. my ultrasound says i'm 3 weeks ahead of my due date by my LMP. email me your email address if you want, or you don't need to post this on your comments. whatever. i need to check on all your blogs that you have listed. the feet thing you mentioned sounds yucky. you seem so calm and relaxed about having two sets of twins. i feel a little shaky about having the 3 i'm about to have. : ) take care and email me if you'd like. blessings!
They are adorable!!!
