My secretary

This is my new secretary.

My secretary now makes all my phone calls for me. I hand her the phone and tell her what numbers to dial, and at only 2 years of age, she does. !!! And, she takes dictation. In the form of repeating what Lucas says and does. I know some of you would call this *tattling* (ahem), but, for the sake of peace in my home, we are going to call it *informing*.

The phone dialing thing was pretty shocking. I didn't know she knew her numbers. Maybe if I gave her a typewriter, she could also take letters for me.

Congratulations on having a new secretary :) I love the picture! Thanks for stopping by and telling me about the knitting shop mysteries. I checked our library and will be getting the first one this week. I LOVE mysteries and was looking for a new series. Last year I started, and finished, the Monica Ferris needlepoint shop mysteries set in Minnesota and loved them. Two other favorite series: One by Ann Waldron, which take place at Princeton University (loved them because we lived in that area for years so it was fun to read about all the places I was familiar with); the other are the coffee house mysteries by Cleo Coyle, which I've been enjoying because they take place in Greenwich Village, the area of NYC where I worked for several years.

I hope your secretary stays helpful, mine can be unruly at times. She generally stands right beside me and tells me I type very fast. Just the other day she took on a rather large project. My little secretary single handedly removed every tab I had placed in a very large reference book. It was at least a 10 minute project for her. She waited until I was in the shower and quietly left the bathroom so she could do all of this work and surprise me with it. She exclaimed "ta da! I help you!"

I'm happy to have caught up with you and the twins, Lizzy. I just love seeing them and hearing all about you...reading between the lines. You know you are a special Mommy and those of us stitching/creative arts friends of yours out in blogging land think of you often. Take care. Hugs, Deb
